Judith trained at Winchester School of Art and spent the next twenty years as a jobbing, commercial artist in France and Wales. She mainly worked from an agent in London and has commissioned work in Europe and America. These include a full sized, carved jazz band, birds of the region and many, many pieces of painted furniture.
Returning to Wales in 2000 she found freedom by earning her living in Social Care which allowed her to work without economic considerations, Social Care is not famous for making people rich but it kept the wolf from the door.
Her work ranges from landscapes to mining her family life, especially images around her children. She finds that she has passions and will work around themes. Swans, ravens and other birds are a recurring fascination both in painting and 3D.
She is a great believer in the 'Dada' theory of art – if you want to do it , it is worth doing. To work from the heart and take pleasure in the process and action of creation.
